Today is a Rainy Day

We woke up this morning, to a gloomy sky, dark and depressing. Opened our doors to grab the newspaper and see that an iconic figure in our world has fallen. Steve Jobs, an inspiring mentor to us all in this industry of misfits, has passed away at the age of 56.
I remember as a child my father bringing home a Macintosh from his office for us kids to play with. I remember going through elementary school and the only computers we had were power mac G3s. Playing Sim City in bright and awesome colours, and fiddling with the latest filters in Photoshop.
He was a visionary, he saw the world the way it could be, and strove to get us there. A dream of one day working with Steve or to have a face-to-face conversation , was always passing through my mind, sadly will never happen in this sense of reality.
He embodied the leader and innovator that I could only ever dream of being. As I sit here wondering what to write, and read other posts of the same nature. I begin to think to myself how can I possibly say anything that hasn’t been said about the man who changed the tech world as we know it? How can I say anything about the man who inspired me to do only what I love?
It is unfortunate having a moment and the ability to discuss the way someone has affected yourself and what you do, but be a blank slate. All that we can do now is move forward, treasure the mans achievements that he has shared with us. Hope, that our futures only continue to prosper as he had planned for us all. Farewell Steve, we will forever miss you.
